About Me

As an Electrical Engineering major with an interest in the world of embedded systems, I am passionate about blending hardware knowledge with software skills to create innovative solutions. I enjoy working on the boundary between hardware and software, where I can physically observe the effects of my work. I operate best working in team settings, as I am highly motivated by collaborative energy, the exchange of ideas, and the synergy that comes from bringing diverse perspectives together to solve complex problems.

My hands-on experience includes working on multiple projects, both in school and internships, designing microcontroller-based systems and developing custom firmware, where I have honed my skills in languages such as C, Verilog, and assembly.

Microcontroller System Design Tutor, UC Santa Cruz

Tutoring 80+ students in Microcontroller system design. This is a demanding design elective course in which students learn how to design and implement microcontroller based systems. Used my strong base for C programming and design of microcontroller based systems to tutor students in writing driver libraries from

scratch for UART and SPI, as well as implementing a complete interrupt driven packet handling protocol.

Mechatronics, UC Santa Cruz

Mechatronics is a rigorous course taught at UC Santa Cruz where students are asked to completely build autonomous robots over a 5 week period with a randomly assigned team. At the end of the class, each group's robot competes in a final tournament. In my group, I led the team in overall design and application of hardware and software components. Finished the course with the highest grade in the class and was the first team to complete the minimum specification test.

Hardware Intern, Norbit Subsea

My main project at Norbit subsea consisted of creating a product which automated the bootloading process of the microcontroller controlling PSU (Power supply unit) in the boardstack of a sonar. This involved using the PDI interface to facilitate loading of the boot program (firmware) for a ATMEGA microcontroller. I implemented this using a raspberry pi to host a local web site where the boot program could be uploaded, and from there the program would be flashed into the boot of the microcontroller.
